Rennie Grove HERTS 10K – Event & Fundraising
Cerco Communications have worked in partnership with Rennie Grove Hospice events and fundraising team and have grown their flagship fundraising event by a third and have helped the hospice to date raise nearly £1m with Cerco Communications bringing in over £12,000 in corporate sponsorship in 2015 alone. In 2012 and 2013 the event sold out with more than 3,000 runners registering in advance per year.
Effective and regular communication with participants has seen an increase in the average amount raised per runner. For example, the results from their 2013 eshot campaign revealed statistics way above industry standard. For eshots sent to participants the open rate was 92% – 231%, average unique reads were 50-60%. The click rate for fundraising emails was 5-17% with event emails having a click rate of up to 123%.
Standard sector open rates are between 12%-14% with clickthrough rates in the 3% range.
Cerco Communications, has over the past eight years successfully delivered a PR & Marketing strategy that has used direct mail, PR, social media and promotional techniques to deliver results.
In addition to the HERTS 10K, the team have also promoted their Midnight Walk and helped with the creation of two new fundraising events, The Jingle Bell Jog and Herts Cycle Challenge.
